You might be awestruck by her career at first reading, but it’s actually worth pricking up your ears when Monika Schaller talks about her truly rich wealth of experience: dealing with CEOs, her love of challenges and saying goodbye to her own vanity. Monika Schaller is Chief Communications Officer at SAP SE. After studying business administration at Vienna University of Economics and Business, she worked as a sales trader at CA-Investment Bank in Vienna from 1998 to 1999. She then moved to Bloomberg TV for two years as a senior financial reporter. From 2003 to 2007, Schaller was head of press relations in the Corporate & Investment Bank division at Citigroup in Germany, Austria and Scandinavia. She will then take over as Head of Corporate Communications for Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Eastern Europe at Goldman Sachs. In 2016, Schaller became Deputy Head of Press at Deutsche Bank. In July 2019, she moved to Deutsche Post as company spokeswoman. In 2023, she will become Head of Communications at software provider SAP. In 2020 and 2021 she was named “Spokesperson of the Year”, in 2022 “Communicator of the Year”.
