On Netflix, bestselling author Marie Kondo has been tidying up in series since the beginning of the year and suddenly an activity that was previously mostly a victim of procrastination has become a trend. Well, you don&#8217;t have to jump on every bandwagon, but this one is a great way to start the job routine. Here we go again.   <\/p>\n<p>Do you carry on as you did in the old year? Open the resubmission and see what&#8217;s coming up? Sure, it has to be done, but then it&#8217;s worth digging out everything you have on the big piece of paper in the IC, either alone or as a team.  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Is my focus still right?<\/strong><br \/>\nOr do I actually want to achieve something completely different in internal communication in the future? Long-term concepts are good, but the corporate world is also turning faster and faster and many a concept has to turn with it. Have the courage to question your plans and possibly turn them on their head. This also includes individual measures that made sense a year ago, but are rather superfluous today.   <\/li>\n<li><strong>Am I still playing the right channels?<\/strong><br \/>\nJust because the employee newsletter has filled many working hours for ten years does not make it indispensable. Not every newsletter lives up to its name. Blogging is only sporadic. And why is the number of participants in the stand-ups continually decreasing? If you take a critical look at your tools now and slim down where your pants pinch, you will have more time for the relevant channels and real quality content.    <\/li>\n<li><strong>Do I know my colleagues and know what they want in the IC?<\/strong>  An employee survey also has a half-life. Plan your next survey and implement it as soon as possible. Five closed questions and one open question are enough.  <\/li>\n<li><strong>Am I up to date with the latest IC developments?<\/strong>  Or do I need a little extra tuition, a refresher course? Anyone who puts down the pegs for their annual training course(s) now is showing initiative and commitment. In addition, the approval process is easier if you are not the tenth colleague to submit your application.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tidying up frees us up, clears the way for new ideas and at the same time frees up time that can be put to better use. For example, you can go home earlier and go binge-watching.
