As she has done for the past four years, Andrea Montua joined colleagues from the industry in the Staffbase webinar \u201cThe future of internal communication\u201d to look at upcoming developments and trends. <\/p>\n<p>The following theses were selected by the experts and put up for discussion:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<h5><strong>One of the main functions of the IC will be transformation support<\/strong><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Real transformation goes far beyond normal changes (change processes); this is a fundamental work expectation for IC.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>\n<h5><strong>In the year <\/strong><strong>2024, the news pyramid must be reversed<\/strong><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The relevance of news is decided bottom-up. The discussion focused on the importance of the relevance of content for the employee, such as local events versus company news. <\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>\n<h5><strong>The IC will play an important role in conveying appreciation to employees<\/strong><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The debate revolved around making the \u201cinvisible\u201d employees visible and the challenge of treating all target groups equally in order to avoid discrimination against certain groups, such as plant workers or remote employees.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>\n<h5><strong>The culture war over AI in the IC begins<\/strong><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Studies show that AI processes can be 40% faster and 18% better than human processes.
